At LHCC Healing Rooms we prayerfully minister to those who are suffering from physical ailments & God has been faithful!

The word of God clearly explains His great love for us and instructs us to pray for one another. It goes on to say that we are to lay hands on the sick and they will get well!! This offers incredible hope for those of us who are suffering from ill health.

Sports Accident

A girl who damaged her foot in a Taekwondo competition was prayed for in the healing rooms. Her foot was badly bruised and she was unable to put her full weight it. She had to hobble from her seat into the healing room were the team prayed for her in the name of Jesus. The prayer was immediatly answered and all pain and discomfort dissapeared. She was so surprised that it took a few minutes to realise what had just happened. Instead of hobbling out of the room she hopped out and continued to hop around and laugh excitedly until her parents took her home!

I had an operation in March 2010, the operation was meant to be healed in 3-4 months but after 16 months the wound was still extensive and the doctors had decided I needed to be examined and would require another operation. I came for prayer at Living Hope and felt really good afterwards but I could see no difference in the wound. A week later I had my examination at the hospital, up to this point my regular nurses could see no difference in the wound and were still telling me to expect to have to have an operation; however when I went into hospital the next day the surgeon looked at the wound and told me "It was a gold standard clean wound" and that "They would have me back in a month to make sure it was all healed" I could hardly believe it. The next day I went to my nurse and she was lost for words. A week later my wound was completely healed. It was amazing and I still am awestruck by what God did for me.

When William and Sharon McCabe prayed for people needing healing after their talk in Douglas on Sunday 14 August, we went up for prayer for a friend in England who is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. When we spoke to her later that day we heard that she had been admitted to hospital a few days earlier with a white blood cell count of 0.2. Anything less than 1.0 is considered dangerous. The hospital had given her a white cell growth stimulant, but this had only succeeded in taking the count up to 0.3 - still very dangerous. She was hoping to have the level got up to 1.0 so she could at least be released from her hospital room and walk around. And then on Sunday her church, as well as two others and William and Sharon, prayed for her and her cell count jumped up so much that when the doctors tested her that evening, the count was 4.4! She was released to go back home on Monday. Fantastic God!

Euan Macrae

Euan severely scalded his hand last week by catching a teapot full of boiling water. His hand was covered in blisters and he thought he wouldn’t be able to play guitar in Unite at the weekend as the pain was so bad. Karen and Euan prayed and the next morning his hand was completely healed! All but one blister were gone - leaving no marks at all! Euan spoke to a doctor about it and his report was that it is impossible for the skin to heal that quickly - it’s a miracle!!!
